Book Trading Service
Team Fuzzy Kitten is working on an online, AJAX-based book-swapping service aimed at college students. The goal of this service is to enable students to buy and sell textbooks amongst each other, avoiding the bookstore altogether. Students looking to buy a specific textbook will be automatically matched with any students trying to sell that particular book, and the students will be given a means to contact one another.Procedure
Once logged in to the book swapping site, users can get to work creating their book lists. Each user will have two lists, a “have” list and a “want” list. One list contains the books the user has and is trying to get rid of, and the other is the list of books the user is interested in buying. Users will be able to search through the Amazon database, then click and drag books from their search results to their personalized book lists. When a match is made, each student will be notified and told how they can contact the other student to make the trade. Once the students have completed their trade, they can simply remove the item from their lists.
Layout
The website layout features two columns, split evenly down the middle of the screen. Both the “have” list and the “want” list are contained in the left column, separated by tabs. The right column contains the Amazon search form, which will search as-you-type. Search results are displayed in the right column, and results can be dragged from the search column to either list. List entries that can be matched by other users are highlighted. List entries can be removed by clicking the remove button for a single entry.

Response to the survey
The colors are kind of wierd. They look cheesy... like easter eggs. But everything was readable. That's a plus.
The pastels and easter egg colors were just a quick choice for the prototype. The colors will be changed to better fit the color theme of the official UMW website with the teal and grey and dark blue.
Tell me how to log in. Add a submit button to the login. There's also no "register for a new account" area.
This will be added, although there probably will be no actual log in button, pressing enter or clickout outside the login area will automatically check your credentials
The drag and drop after search only allowed books to be placed in "books I have" instead of "books I want".
This is a problem that will be fixed before the completion of this project.
When searching for books, possibly provide a link going to the books description.
We will use collabsable descriptions for each book in the list.
I think you should make multiple pages to display the books.
Multiple pages might get confusing to navigate if you have a lot of books in all your lists, but we will see what we can do
Make the differences between buying and selling more clear.
We might try to develop better wording for the lists
Clicking on the picture of the book and it showing up in the proper side is more efficient.
This is a good idea that we may implement
