Talk:CPSC 330 Object-oriented Analysis and Design
From MWCSWiki
I was wondering about the last sentence in your blurb:
"Students work in team projects to develop larger-scale software solutions in an object-oriented language. "
If I were teaching the course, I might not necessarily have students do team projects and/or develop "large scale" software solutions. I was thinking that in the short term, the course would be more of a hybrid between the current 321 and a true OOD course. Maybe it would cover efficiency stuff, some data structures, UML, patterns, and some other good stuff. That sounds like a lot to cram in without promising large scale group projects. I think it's a great goal to shoot for, but I personally would keep it out of the course description. This is just my opinion though, see what everyone else says.
I am really excited about this new course and think the proposal looks good! Karen
