Fall Software Engineer Intern  

Job Description:  

MTCSC provides flexible engineering and systems integration services that help customers solve their toughest, most intractable problems. National defense and homeland security clients depend on our rapid, cost-effective development of advanced technology - adaptable, interoperable, integrated solutions that provide high performance in quick-response scenarios. MTCSC is looking for a Fall Software Engineer Intern to provide support to our current projects from our Stafford, VA office. The candidates primary responsibilities will consist of:

• Single spiral development of applications.
• Application development and maintenance.* Analyze new technologies and integrate into existing systems.
• Perform system and software testing.
• Prepare and peer review documentation (i.e. Software Requirements Specifications, Test Plans, Code Reviews and Trade Studies, etc).
• Provide technical guidance to customers and team members.

 

Requirements:  

Candidates must have the following:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Desired:  

• Experience with .NET (ASP.NET, ADO.NET and VB.NET), C#, VB.NET, .Net Framework, Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe, MS SQL, SQL database analysis, data manipulation, programming of SQL scripts and stored procedures, Reporting Services, Transact-SQL, DTS, HTML, XML and Java.
• Experience with MS Excel 2007, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Macros.
• Experience developing Web pages, Web applications, and Web services.
