Differences between SemWikis and RDF editors

  • SW: write their data "locally" (i.e., to the same location that the Wiki software is hosted at)
  • RE: might store it elsewhere.
  • SW: just look at your own created stuff
  • RE: follow linked data, traverse the semantic web
  • SW: free text is the cake, and semantic annotations are the icing
  • RE: semantic annotations are the cake (free text is just embedded within a field, if it exists)
