Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
CACI has an immediate opening for a Systems Programmer 2 to support SLBM Engineering and Technical Support services being provided to the Navy in Dahlgren, VA. Modifies existing programs as required by changing system requirement. Implements and maintains a Software Configuration Management tool; provides administrative support for maintenance backups, and software upgrades; and provides programming and testing support to generate and maintain interface programs that run from the WEB portion of the CM tool.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent and two to four years of related (business programming) experience.
- Must be proficient in the following programming languages: C/C++, VB Script, VBA, Java.
- Must have knowledge of and experience in using HTML tools and an understanding of JavaScript, Perl and CGI scripting.
- Must have experience in C coding, API coding, applications coding, testing, Perl coding, and web interface reporting.
- Must have ability to interpret logical work flow diagrams and produce code based on these diagrams.
- Must have an excellent understanding of both Unix and Microsoft Operating Systems.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft products Project 2007 and Excel 2003
- Must have ability to communicate effectively
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with interpreting and applying federal and military specifications and standards is desired. 1 to 2 years experience with Configuration Management tools such as Serena Dimensions and or Synergy is also desired. Experience with Documentation Management Tools (DOORS and DOORS Extension Language (DXL) scripts is a plus. Experience in software development lifecycle support and maintaining associated documentation is highly desired.
